Spookytown: Tulsa and OKC Halloween Events to Do with Your Family

Are you looking for something more to do this Halloween than trick-or-treating and carving pumpkins? Oklahoma City turns into Spookytown this time of year, with fun and frights all over the city and surrounding areas. To make it easier, Beacon Homes assembled a list of 2018 Tulsa and OKC Halloween events to do with your family.

Listen to stories around a campfire where you and your family can toast marshmallows and warm up with hot chocolate.

Mustang Spooktacular Carnival and FestivalOctober 27

The City of Mustang will once again welcome people of all ages from 5 to 8 p.m. to celebrate Halloween at this event at Wild Horse Park. A haunted house, petting zoo, train rides, inflatables, more than 60 carnival games, and Booville (for kids under 5), and, of course, lots of food, will give you an evening of fun with your family.

Gypsy Glam Roadshow Fall FestivalOctober 27

For the third year, this free festival returns to OKC, at Tony’s Tree Plantation on South Post Road. Both kid- and dog-friendly, this fun fall festival has costume contests for all. Plus, trawl for treats, browse the booths, do some DIY crafts, decorate pumpkins, and feast on delicious food.

Halloween on the Green, October 27

All ages are welcome to walk the trick-or-treat trail at Will Rogers Gardens, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Costumed characters will be handing out goodies and kids can decorate sugar skulls and get their faces painted.

Magic LanternOctober 28

The Paseo Arts District invites you for “a night of light instead of fright”. Come as you are and the professional artists will transfer each of you with a one-of-a-kind costume, as you go from gallery to gallery to build a costume. Then, join in the parade on the labyrinth they’ve painted on the street. It’s free, it’s fun, and it’s certain to become a family tradition!

Tulsa trick-or-treat and more!

Boo Ha Ha in BrooksideOctober 27

HallowZOOeenOctober 27-31

Every night, the Tulsa Zoo gets spooky (but not scary), and welcomes children to come in costume and collect treats at the Goblin Stops, play in the Pumpkin Patch Playroom, take a haunted train ride around the zoo, and experience themed activities at the Royal Castle and Pirate Island. This annual event raises money to support the zoo.

All of us at Beacon Homes encourage you to get out and explore the fun, safe activities around Oklahoma City and Tulsa through the rest of October.
