The Best Christmas Trees and Holiday Lights in Oklahoma

Holiday season is upon us, which means it’s time for family get-togethers, plates of your favorite dishes, and cups of hot cocoa around a fire. But it’s also so much fun to bundle up, pile the family into a car, and take a drive to a festive destination to pick out a Christmas tree or see amazing holiday lights! If you live in Oklahoma City or Tulsa, you’ve got plenty of options for getting into the holiday spirit. Here are just a few of our favorite places to visit throughout the season:

Christmas Trees

Sorghum Mill Christmas Tree Farm

After Thanksgiving through the Holiday Season

7121 Midwest Lane | Edmond (25 minutes from OKC)

As soon as you’ve eaten your turkey leftovers head over to Sorghum Mill to pick out this season’s Christmas tree! Make sure the phone is charged because you’ll want to take tons of pictures as the family chooses their favorite tree to cut and take home. You can harvest your own, purchase a pre-cut tree, or choose a live tree that’s balled and burlapped (roots are still attached and it’s ready for transport to your home so that you may replant it). You can also load up on all the decorations you’ll need — wreaths, garland, mantle pieces, and more.

Owasso Christmas Tree Farm

November 20 – December 23, 2021

10939 North 129th East Avenue | Owasso (20 minutes from Tulsa)

This agritourism destination turns into a winter wonderland during the holiday season! Come find and cut the perfect tree with help from the friendly staff, plus enjoy hayrides, hot apple cider, and candy canes galore. Many families drive from Tulsa and surrounding areas every year as part of their holiday tradition.

Christmas Lights

Yukon’s Christmas in the Park

November 20 – December 31, 2021, 6-11 p.m.

Yukon City Park | Yukon (20 minutes from OKC)

Welcome to Oklahoma’s largest drive-thru light display! The fantastic 3-mile journey takes visitors through a holiday wonderland of 5 million twinkling lights and over 500 lighted displays. You may drive or walk, or even ride the Santa Express Train. There are multiple opportunities to take festive holiday pictures, and this year’s new ice skating rink is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

Rhema Lights

November 25 – January 2, 2022, 5:30-11:30 p.m.

1025 West Kenosha | Broken Arrow (20 minutes from Tulsa)

Come experience 110 acres of brilliant holiday lights with an enormous nativity scene, angels and reindeer, and even a gingerbread family. Rhema Lights draws 500,000 visitors a year and is one of Tulsa’s not-to-be-missed events! As always, visitors may walk through the exhibit or ride in a horse-drawn, open-top carriage.

While you’re out and about this holiday season, you’re invited to drop by any of Beacon Homes’ communities in and around Oklahoma City and Tulsa for a preview of our latest move-in ready homes and coming-soon homesites. See you soon!
