Follow the Spring Parade of Homes to Beacon Homes’ Models

Twice a year, members of the Central Oklahoma Home Builders Association open the doors to their showcase homes. The 2019 Parade of Homes Spring Festival is now underway and you can tour more than 100 new construction homes throughout OKC this weekend (May 3-5). Find ideas and experience inspiration (and maybe a little new home envy?). Be sure to follow the Spring Parade of Homes to Beacon Homes’ models.

With this event, we’re hosting the grand opening of two new model homes—and when we say “new”, we literally just completed the finishing touches. If you love that “new home smell”, get ready to breathe it in here.

8709 Cherry Lane, Woodland Park, Edmond, OK

Woodland Park is truly a unique community, with more amenities than anywhere else in this area. Living here will be a year-round staycation! The options continue to expand, and, ultimately, residents will have TWO swimming pools, fitness center, clubhouse, full-sized basketball court, and playgrounds.

So, it made sense that we should complement this exceptional lifestyle with an exceptional home. And that would be the Charleston floor plan that is one of our featured homes in this special event. The single-family home at 8709 Cherry Lane provides expansive living area, with 2,972 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 3,5 baths, an open floor plan, flex room, and a second-floor bonus suite, plus a 3-car garage. We used a split floor plan, situating the master bedroom on the opposite side of the home from the 3 secondary bedrooms—for that extra privacy you crave (and deserve).

It’s not just the layout and square footage that make this new construction home a stand-out. Come and see the details for yourself. We’ve incorporated “wow” factors in every room. The kitchen cabinets, for example, are unlike the “usual”. The vertical panels on the doors are reflected in the wainscoting treatment on island. Then, factor in the bonus and beauty of the quartz countertop (which is also included in the bathrooms). The cathedral ceiling above the living room is accented with wood beams, and the master bath has two-tone cabinetry with vessel sinks on the dual vanities.

There’s much more to admire here, so don’t miss the model home at Woodland Park!

18112 Summer Grove Avenue, The Grove, Edmond, OK

The Grove is an established community of single-family homes in the desirable Deer Creek area of Edmond. The model home in our current phase, Orchard, is Beacon Homes’ other Parade home. At first sight, you’ll see that the stone, brick, and siding combination, porch treatment, and even the wrought iron fence are a good clue that the interior is just as spectacular.

As brand new as they come, our designers just finished decorating this beautiful Dover floor plan! Let’s start with the 2,425 square feet that blends 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, open concept in the main living area, and a flex room. The 3-car garage includes a workshop area and we’ve also expanded the patio and made it even more inviting with a wood-burning fireplace.

What else does this home have? The list is so long that the better question is, what DOESN’T it have?

The patterned tile in the foyer is surrounded with wainscoting on the walls and a shiplap and beamed ceiling. Modern Farmhouse that lives up to its name! The kitchen’s custom cabinetry is equally eye-catching in a rich, but not overpowering hunter green with medium-toned open wood shelving, white subway tile backsplash and white granite countertops that contrast beautifully.

Wood-look tile in the main living area extends the natural elements here, along with the rustic brick fireplace surround. The crown molding completes the spaces like an exclamation point at the end of a sentence.

The bedrooms are highlighted with tray ceilings and soft wall colors that create a comfortable retreat. Step into the master bath and you’re greeted with a soaking tub with a wainscoted wood surround, plus deep-toned subway tile that wanders into the step-in shower. The furniture-quality dual vanity has wood-framed mirrors, and we’ve incorporated a unique storage solution that continues the stylish accent in this space.

The details keep coming. The secondary bath has the dual vanities and a framed mirror. We added a mud bench in the same green cabinet color outside the powder room. The flex room has a double-door entrance, a wonderful  detail no matter how you choose to use the space: home office, study, formal living or dining room, or even a guest room.

The 2019 Parade of Homes Spring Festival is an absolute must-see if a new home is anywhere in your future. And Beacon Homes’ parade stops will definitely spark your enthusiasm.
